Painting at Cielo with Andres Correa and Gia (she left early)

Sept 25, 2011 – I had another blast at Cielo. I was honored to paint with Andres Correa, a fellow Colombian. Check him out at www.andrescorrea.com. He sold his painting that night; a great skill that I am developing. Gia was in the house, she painted a beautiful lady floating on clouds. (I pulled out the camera before I could catch her leaving) It was 3 Colombians painting that night!

Nicolas Heyward Jr. Remembrance Event – Gowanus Projects

Sept 16, 2011 – Nicolas Heyward Jr. was shot by NYPD in 1994 as he played cops and robbers. He was 12 years old. Every year on his birthday his father holds a remembrance event for his son in the park of their complex. My friend and strong political activist, Vanissa, invited me to come down and help paint something in remembrance. I painted an outline of Nicolas and let the kids fill him in. It was a great time.

Nicole’s Flicks from MoCA

Aug 31, 2011 – I saw tons of photos from MoCA Street Art Exhibit, but these are some that my homie Nicole took when she went, she probably wouldn’t have gone if I didn’t tell her about it ; ). Other than the AMAZE photo, I hadn’t seen any of these other photos. Nicole is from the Bronx who moved to LA about a year ago. She said that this show really touched her! Gracias, Nico!
