Collaboration with En Masse – Art Basel

December 5th, 2011 – After meeting with Rupert and Fred who are part of EnMasse.info, a Montreal-based art initiative, I was invited to paint in one of their productions. Their productions are composed of having an eclectic group of artists, all contributing their own style while keeping to a black and white color palette. The wall consisted of wheat pastes, spray and acrylic paint. My contribution is the text going down the left side of the hand. The experience painting with over 10 artists on this project made my Miami sun glow and flow brighter.

Painting with MLK Community Art Project – Art Basel

December 5th, 2011 – I was blessed to run across Kyle, the founder of MLK Community Mural Project. MLK (Moving the Lives of Kids) has been painting all over the world from Miami, Pittsburg, LA, Haiti and Brazil giving kids an opportunity to earn money, learn to paint and inspire each other. The opportunity was born under the stars. Kyle gave me a spot where I could contribute. I cant wait to work with them again in near future.

Painting at Cielo with Andres Correa and Gia (she left early)

Sept 25, 2011 – I had another blast at Cielo. I was honored to paint with Andres Correa, a fellow Colombian. Check him out at www.andrescorrea.com. He sold his painting that night; a great skill that I am developing. Gia was in the house, she painted a beautiful lady floating on clouds. (I pulled out the camera before I could catch her leaving) It was 3 Colombians painting that night!

Nicolas Heyward Jr. Remembrance Event – Gowanus Projects

Sept 16, 2011 – Nicolas Heyward Jr. was shot by NYPD in 1994 as he played cops and robbers. He was 12 years old. Every year on his birthday his father holds a remembrance event for his son in the park of their complex. My friend and strong political activist, Vanissa, invited me to come down and help paint something in remembrance. I painted an outline of Nicolas and let the kids fill him in. It was a great time.
